Friday 22nd December - walk *** – Around Felixstowe with Maeva -
cloudy and breezy.
Another pretty breezy day with some rain first thing, we had arranged to
have the lovely Maeva later today so no windsurfing again today, I hope to
get out tomorrow, I decided to drive down to Felixstowe Ferry to see if
this mornings high tigh had done any damage. I would have gone down at high
water but it was around 7 and still dark so arrived at 9.15 and the only
obvious thing was several yacht tenders scattered about. I spoke to the
harbour master who was there and he was surprised at how high the water
came up but luclily there was no serious damage. I got a few pics of small
boats up on the road and high and dry on the jetty! Then home for breakfast
and sort my pics out, Maeva had a long sleep in the morning, 3 hours so we
did not walk around to pick her up until after lunch. We came out at Solar
(Co-op) where the plastic ice rink was proving very popular with a long
que, every one was having fun, its free too, we got Maeva out of her buggy
to watch and she really loved it:) Continuing through the town and down
onto the prom to the pier, with the good breeze offshore it was not too bad
out and about. Then home for Maevas lunch before she played on the floor
for ages. Mag headed back up the town so I got to give her a bottle, she is
just great company, she is now fast asleep on the settee:)
